Mopar® at the 2016 Hannover International Motor Show

The 66th edition of the Hannover International Motor Show, the biggest European exhibition of commercial and industrial vehicles, will take place from 22nd to 29th September. Mopar – the FCA Group reference brand for services, Customer Care, genuine spare parts and accessories – will be attending the event with a large array of products offered to customers, both at the time of purchase and in later stages, so they can personalise their vehicles with exclusive services and accessories.

Special equipment for businesses by Mopar
Star of the Hannover Motor Show will be Mopar that with Fiat Professional is introducing two new models – Ducato and Doblò – outfitted by capitalising on the professionalism and technical know-how of the Technical Service Operation department. In particular, by exploiting the outstanding versatility of the two models, Mopar is presenting a smart and innovative solution dedicated to professionals who expect their vehicle to be the natural extension of their workplace. By using a quick and safe installation and removal system, Mopar has come up with an ambitious concept with a range of equipment suited to the diverse needs of customers. The Ducato and Doblò outfits presented in Hannover display a modular shelving composition, which can be arranged on the two sides of the vehicles, with storage compartments, drawers and tool cases. Furthermore, in order to enhance mobility, the Ducato also fits a power generator on an extractable top which can be used to operate a 10 bar air compressor in addition to other devices. A range of accessories will be showcased in addition to the two outfitted vehicles, including telescopic cargo holding bars, a strap holder case, a handy trolley and much more.

A selection of accessories fitted on Fullback, Talento and Doblò Cargo will be presented to the public at the Hannover Motor Show: this is a small but significant sample of the many products made to blend perfectly with the model they are designed for. For example, the "double cab" Fullback had branded valve caps, fabric mats and cargo compartment lining, while the Talento people carrier fits three Mopar accessories picked to make the new Fiat Professional commercial vehicle even more functional: rubber mats, interior LED lighting and a smartphone holder on the dashboard. The display is completed with rubber mats, roof bars and a specific loading system that visitors will see fitted on Doblò Cargo Natural Power.

High quality products in the Fullback merchandise range
The collection of objects and apparel dedicated to Fullback and inspired by the concepts, materials, shapes and colours of the new vehicle will be displayed in a special showcase. The objects include an aluminium alloy emergency torch, which can also be used for scuba diving to a depth of 100 metres, with two LED lights and rechargeable battery and a practical key ring with customised snap-hook made of aluminium alloy. The apparel range instead features a cotton T-shirt customised with rubberised material logo, in two colour variants (white or black), and a black sweatshirt with full-length double zip and hood with contrasting colour drawstring.

UconnectTM LIVE, the next frontier in infotainment
For the past few months Mopar has taken charge of the UconnectTM system and its extraordinary functions. In particular, Ducato, 500L Pro and Doblò Cargo can be equipped with the next generation model that includes exclusive UconnectTM LIVE services. Available on the 5" touchscreen device, the new functions complement the system, the basic version of which includes FM/AM radio, Bluetooth hands-free system, voice recognition and many music options. The driver can connect multimedia devices via USB or using the 3.5mm auxiliary jack or can choose to stream music from a compatible smartphone via Bluetooth. Instead, on request, a digital radio (DAB) and built-in 3D TomTom navigation system can also be provided.
The Navigation section, available for vehicles equipped with UconnectTM 5'' Radio Nav LIVE, offers TomTom LIVE services with voice control and high quality traffic information. The connected navigation experience of TomTom, with the largest source of traffic information in the world and over 100 million kilometres of monitored road data collected every day, makes travelling more efficient and better-informed. The navigation system is updated with the most recent traffic conditions every two minutes. With its state-of-the-art processing engine, Uconnect TM shows the fastest routes and the most accurate arrival time estimates. Besides real time information on traffic conditions, users are also provided with information on permanent and mobile Speed Trap positions where available, local TomTom Search&Go search services and real time weather forecasts.
Furthermore, the Saving&Efficiency section connects directly to the my:Car function for real-time warnings, service deadline reminders and interactive owner manual browsing to help drivers manage vehicle maintenance as efficiently as possible. When a smartphone is connected via Bluetooth, the most important warnings are automatically transferred onto the Uconnect TM LIVE personal account to make servicing easier than ever. Finally, where present, it can be used to access eco:Drive, the award-winning driving style app which allows users to slash fuel consumption by up to 16% and contributes to reducing CO2 emissions by providing real-time driving tips.
Finally, available on Doblò Panorama, the Infotainment section provides a direct link via the touchscreen to TuneIn, the app that offers users access to over 100,000 internet radio stations worldwide, to Deezer, the web music service with over 35 million tracks, to Reuters, to keep updated on the latest world news and to Facebook and Twitter, to keep in touch with friends.

Mopar® Vehicle Protection: “Feeling Good, Driving Happy”
The Mopar Vehicle Protection service contracts keep vehicles in top conditions by offering a range of service agreements guaranteed by FCA that are planned to ensure worry-free driving pleasure.
Only Mopar Vehicle Protection guarantees servicing performed by highly qualified, specialised technicians across Europe at authorised FCA workshops employing the right tools and equipment and using genuine spare parts.
The product portfolio includes a wide, flexible range of extended warranties and servicing plans which can be transferred if the vehicle is sold. Each plan offers different levels of duration and mileage and is designed to satisfy the diverse needs of each single customer to guarantee optimal vehicle operation over time. These include:

  • MAXIMUM CARE warranty extension designed to cover all mechanical and electrical vehicle components and extends the warranty for up to three years after the manufacturer's warranty.
  • EASY CARE pre-paid scheduled servicing package which freezes the price of routine maintenance inspections for up to five years meaning that customers will never need to skip a servicing deadline.

The Mopar Vehicle Protection contracts can be signed directly when purchasing a new vehicle and be included (if required) in the FCA Bank financial offer (for some markets only). The EASY CARE package can be subscribed at any time before the first scheduled service deadline, while MAXIMUM CARE can be chosen within 24 months after the date of vehicle registration.

FCA Customer Care, at the service of professionals
The latest Fiat Professional customer care news will be presented at the Hannover Motor Show. For instance, since July customers can communicate with Customer Care via the chat in the “myFiatProfessional” section of the www.fiatprofessional.it website. A dedicated team of operators is at their service to provide information on products and services to registered users in real time.
Furthermore, the “Fiat Professional Mobile" app, which has been downloaded more than 32,700 times across Europe, is available free of charge in five languages and 15 European countries from the App Store and Google Play. The app provides quick and easy access to useful information and assistance.

The Mopar Owner Centre, the EMEA platform available for FCA brand customers
The Italian Key Interactive Awards winning Mopar Owner Centre is the aftersales platform of the FCA Brand websites and offers customers a wide range of content dedicated to taking care of and maintaining FCA cars and commercial vehicles.
Comprehensive aftersales information is offered to the public: services, accessories, original spare parts, Customer Care, merchandising, the e-store and technical documentation.
